At the last EBS meeting, it was decided to move the Johnson Rd trip ahead a few weeks to Dec 5th, with the hope that we would have more owls on that site on that date. The replacement trip for this October date was to go to the Keuka Outlet Hopeton Rd starting point, and bird that area of the trail system. An enthusiastic group gathered at the College on a lovely warm Fall day - Carol K, Saralinda H, Holly N, Jill (guest), Kevin A, Lori V, Allyn P, Lyn J, Anne S. It was a nice day for a walk, except for the hungry, persistent mosquitos that went after our faces, ears, necks! We did encounter several pockets of small passerines but seeing them was another matter altogether. Our undisputed highlight was the Black-throated Green Warbler, showing us a yellow face, brownish back, 2
