Armitage Rd 6/20/26

Nine of us met on Armitage Road (Yang Y, Leslie P, Allyn P, Lynn J, Steve & Linda B and Steve & Lori VK) on a cool, partly cloudy Saturday morning.  As we walked up and down the road, we picked up quite a few birds in a little over an hour, hearing more than we saw.  The Warbling Vireos and Northern Yellow Warblers were singing everywhere and it's always a joy to hear the Wood Thrush's fluting call off in the distance.

After some campers left, we took a walk down to canal to see what we might find and immediately heard the Prothonotary Warbler singing.  Glad it is still in the area despite the loss of it's nesting spots on Armitage Road.

Thanks to Lyn J for keeping the list!
