Esker Brook and South Spring Pool 9/27/25

It was a gorgeous morning for a walk in the woods when Steve & Linda B, Lyn J, Steve & Lori VK, Allyn P, Saralinda H, Leslie P, and four guests.

The plan was to start at Esker Brook and walk through to South Spring Pool, so the morning started with setting up the shuttle to take us back to the start. None of us thought we’d have the strength or desire to walk all the way back, and it was a good call!

While the outing was not particularly rewarding in terms of bird sightings, this location offers well-groomed trails in varied habitats, which is reward enough in and of itself. Sharing that with a convivial group of friends makes it all that much better.
