Lyn Jacobs, Steve & Linda Benedict, Holly Noble, Allyn Paul, Rebecca Rooney, Jim Dehnert, Leslie Preston, Ann Raffetto, Tom Bjorkman, Yang Yingzhen, Kevin Armstrong, John & Sarah Gross, Cathy McGrath, Lee Stivers, and Lori & Steve VanKirk met early on a drizzly morning at Hobart College's Hanley Biological Field Preserve. Carefully avoiding the poison ivy on the gateposts, we ventured out to see what we could see.

With a nice variety of easily accessible habitats, this location has a lot to offer. Thankfully, the rain stopped and held off for the length of our visit. While we did not record a large number of birds (134), we  observed 41 species, with some nice surprises.
