Greetings, Our collaboration with FLCC's Wander & Wonder program was a success! Our two groups of approximately equal numbers convened at the new fireplace and after an introduction by Maura Sullivan, Station Director we walked down to the boat launch area on Honeoye Inlet where two Baltimore Orioles got into a kerfuffle over whose territory it was. But that did not worry the Spotted Sandpiper that greeted us and showed us how to dance. We also saw a Hairy Woodpecker enter a nest hole near that location. From there, we proceeded south along the channel and we were very glad we had our muck boots on due to flooding of the trail. Undaunted we continued, and upon reaching dry land the sun came out and encouraged a few warblers to sing. Warbling Vireo was another species that was active and singing. From EBS, attendees were: Steve & Linda B., Holly N., Lori V., Allyn P., Saralinda H. Yang Y., and Roger S.
