Ten of us gathered at Huckleberry Swamp on Sunday, August 3, 2025: Lori & Steve V, Linda & Steve B, Lyn J, Leslie P, Y Yang, Rich R, Kevin A, and Holly N. The morning temperature was cool for this time of year, which may have contributed to the near silence in the woods; however, it is August. We enjoyed a leisurely walk along good trails in the woods and boardwalks through the swamp. In the end, we managed to grab a respectable 26 species.
Not all birding trips are exciting adventures - sometimes it's just a walk in a beautiful spot with friends.
